Hi mate, Explain this one to me if you could. Where are these two teams from? I know Jacksonville well as I used to live close to there, and we all know Indianapolis is a state in it's own right. So how are they able to classify it as the international series?

It seems that the N in NFL stands for National, so it's American teams playing in different countries.

It seems that the N in NFL stands for National, so it's American teams playing in different countries. The idea is to test out the interest for NFL in the UK, and potentially have a franchise in London as part of the NFL. They play a couple of league games in London, over the past few years they have been sold out and very popular so it isn't impossible that they award us a franchise. Unfortunately the games have not been great - too one sided - but maybe today's will be better. I started watching NFL back in 1984 when it was first shown on Channel 4 and have been a fan since. It is a tactically very interesting sport, and the range of tactical and physical skills needed are way in excess of football or rugby IMO.

Thanks, I grew up watching NFL as I grew up in the states. I came over here when I was seven. I remember we all used to stay up to watch the Superbowl every year. I was too young to really know what was going on, I could just never understand why they spent more time stopping and re positioning then playing, it seemed just as it was getting really exciting.......it would grind to a holt. I guess I lost an interest at about 12 years old when rugby was big at school. I wish it well, my friends are there now.

Is this like the Great British Bake Off or F1? It starts on BBC2, then ends up on C4 or SKY?

Ruth's son watches NFL on his tablet. A more excruciatingly dull experience it would be hard for me to imagine. I'd rather watch paint dry while standing inside a wardrobe.

Is this like the Great British Bake Off or F1? It starts on BBC2, then ends up on C4 or SKY? NFL coverage has been all over the place, including Channel 4, Channel 5, BBC and Eurosport. You can subscribe to an NFL pass online, or pay for Sky, those are the only options if you want to see all of the games.
