I found out only a few years ago that castration gives them longer lives. Wish I'd known before. I had the male hangup about chopping the bits off. Mike, +1 re hangup. I hope this only applies to dogs. If not, I'll not show this thread to my other half! I felt so guilty, he lived off steak for a week! P And of course he hardly noticed and wondered why the good food ! Our hangups about their hangdowns We had Giz done with his teeth. Don't think he changed one iota

Lovely pictures Gordon, and it's a real pleasure to have met them all!
Makes me miss Freddie a bit seeing them.
Cheers, Alan

Lovely pictures Gordon, and it's a real pleasure to have met them all! Makes me miss Freddie a bit seeing them. Cheers, Alan I can remember all the cats that have allowed me to live with them There are always one or two that stand out as real characters though and I miss them still. The one fact of life that is unavoidable is the worst to accept but accept it we must.. Each cat has a totally different character. Anyone that says they are 'just animals' hasn't a clue what they are talking about. We are all 'just animals' too and they presumably wouldn't deny that one or two of us are slightly different!! Anyway, thanks for the comment and as ever, try and remember the joy you had from knowing Freddie.

We now have another house guest. Mummy rabbit has started to think she can escape the run and has started tunnelling. She had to bite through the wire first though, its astonishing what they can get through if they turn their minds and their molars to it. So, temporararily one hopes, she is a house bunny.

Yes. I notice that the other half never comes to the door barking and jumping on me when I get home.
So the dogs always get seen first whatever the plan might be
