I have the S2TLK CD3.0 Ribbon speaker and can confirm that it is exceptional. I would imagine you need a very large room for the STL5-Talk to Ivan he will advise you. Assembly of the cabinets is ok but personally I found the veneering difficult. The larger speakers are wider than the veneering rolls that he provides so you have to butt joint them. Despite taping them, the joints opened. I recommend getting a firm to do the cabinets if you are after a professional finish. The sound reproduction is like speakers three times the price, the drive units and crossover components are superb.Bass is powerful but controlled and the high frequency response sublime.

I made a pair of the original S5TL speakers, still going strong at my son's place. They are good all-rounders and will work well in a medium size room.

I think they would not match your open baffles but great for a second system
