A heavily modified Atom with a line level Micro Alps Pot in a Passive configuration. The pot is a 20K log dual, and the amps power has been pushed up a bit to 25W/ch. Now of to Rayleigh Hi-Fi for speakers.

Nice one Colin, when Colin says mini, he never means small sounding. I bet this little one pumps out a huge soundstage.....just a hunch.

Although I never had a pair of the Sonata Plus (with SEAS metal domes), I did have Sonatas. Whilst I liked JPW P1, AP2 and AP3, the Sonatas sounded pretty crude and limited to me. A lot of that may have been the cheapie Audax tweeter though. Until I heard what Joe Ackroyd managed to get out of it, that Audax tweeter was on my "should've been killed at birth" list. Maybe the Plus version' s tweeter saved the speakers. £155 is an awful lot for a pair though. You should be able to get AP3s for much less than that.

In the 1980's Etude in Belgium used those tweeter, and as the importer via Inca Tech we had many failure manly muck in the magnet gap. Poor Marc Van Moerbeke worked so hard to get the sample right only to be screw by bad inspection when it came to production.
I am glad to that Audax did get there act together quickly.

Looks great, I like the green tie wraps. I would have to swap that clear tie wrap nearest the transformer for a green one as I have to have everything matching Perfectionist, I cant help it
