Now this looks like real innovation. Placing the moving coils directly above the stylus. Difficult to realise in practice, I'm sure, but it has the feel of correct engineering about it. "Our Direct Power System places the moving coil directly on top of the stylus tip to ensure that audio quality is not compromised with the negative effects introduced by the cantilever’s length and material. With the coils in such close proximity, the stylus tip allows the cartridge to vividly render the most subtle sonic details with unsurpassed transient response."

Bloody hell, that looks fragile though.

It looks very interesting and innovative. At 4,100 quid maybe they offer a free repair service....

Maybe they do, although in practice it may not be any more delicate than a standard arrangement.
EDIT: cleaning the stylus could require extreme care.

EDIT: cleaning the stylus could require extreme care. That's what I was alluding to.

I reckon you'd still get resonance from the cantilever affecting the sound though?
Be an interesting listen though.

Excellent sounding cartridge but needs very clean records with exposed coils as this price level you would alreadsy own a Rcm as with most things New , Neumann did this in the 60s DST62 fitted to there idlers supplied with cutting lathes for checking acetates & these are simply stunning but worth £30k+ these days if you can find one as they made less than 300 & they cost a small fortune

I reckon you'd still get resonance from the cantilever affecting the sound though? Be an interesting listen though. Me too. I admire the innovation (and engineering) but I'm not sure I've grasped the theory yet. As you point out, a cantilever resonance will affect transduction accuracy. I'm not sure how that is reduced by having the coils over the stylus. A strong wind would probably affect them - definitely an indoors only cartridge! If only you could walk into a shop and listen...
