Can anyone help please ?
I need to monitor my Mothers front hallway, for suspected intruder evidence.
What I'd like is a motion activated camera, not wi-fi but with it's own memory that can be read with my laptop when I visit.
She has no internet connection, and no wish to have one .
Ideally it would have mains power.
Is there such a thing at reasonable cost ? OR any other suggestions.

I can generally recommend Foscam as an inexpensive but good brand that I use at home and we use at work. Lots of different models on eBay.

Yes Foscam do some good stuff and low prices, wont be easy setting up without any network.
A old router with wifi could be set up at pre65's mothers house just to provide wifi and DHCP etc for a laptop and camera, should work even without a connection to the internet (possibly)

Thanks Mark, I do have a couple of old routers, so worth a try.
