This is a big problem for me, finding a pair of 90 degree Phono plugs of high qwality, Every one ive seen up to yet is of medicore quality.. However i noticed these connectors that look good, anyone recognise the brand? www.bax-shop.co.uk/rca-rca/klotz-alpa015-rca-straight-rca-right-angled-1-5-metre-rca-cableOut of interest anyone know what the Klotz 'AC-104' is like? Its a Pick-Up arm interconnect im looking at using. You only have to spend loads of dosh on Cables if you are keeping up with the Jones

They seem to be a half-decent budget brand.

Why you say that because of the price?

No, Klotz are well talked about and well regarded by our own DSJR among others.

Im just wondering why They use 'AC-104' which is down on paper as an Instrument cable, the 'AC-110' is a double sheilded Hi-Fi cable, The link shows the 'AC-104' with Phono Plugs so intend it being used in a stereo system!

I bought a pair of these from Bax. They are slightly different from the leads shown: the cable is Klotz AC106 and the plug housings have a shiny, polished and (IMO) more 'blingy' finish, rather than the semi-matt finish shown. Nevertheless I'm happy with them. I need them to connect to an SME M2-12R arm with horizontal RCA sockets: the total thickness of the armboard, turntable chassis and top of the plinth is such that there isn't enough room for the horizontal-fitting plugs. The cables are very flexible - essential if used as arm leads. Incidently the AC106 has a slightly lower capacitance per unit length than AC104. The leads are 1.5m long and I measured 150pF plug to plug, which suggests ~93pF/m (within the quoted specification of <95pF/m). AC104 has a quoted capacitance of <115pF/m.
