lt is amazing Martin, that a clock cable can make such a difference. l had a similar experience when l sold my AD clock, l swapped out the AD lead for another BNC 50ohm lead, and the change in presentation, and overall sound was disappointing, and although l sold the AD Clock,l kept the lead.
This has lead me try out various leads, and some DIY efforts with pretty good success, although the DIY is still work in progress, l believe l've managed to match my AD clock cable, but l need to test more, but gut reaction,it's in the same league.
ln my view, most people wouldn't believe such a claim, but you have to be deaf, not too hear the difference

I've heard tonight that final kicker into a new level of performance that my 2nd LMR-400 clock cable has achieved, exactly the same as the 1st one did. It's great that clock cables burn-in as long as you keep the clocks running.
The ebb and flow and natural vibrancy of music tonight is wonderful, despite the cold due to the room taking a long time to warm up after work. Outrageously good value clock cables.

Just a quick observation that something(s) is/are still improving over time, whether they be the newer QA grounding boxes, the LMR-400 clock cables, the Tubulus I2S cable or possibly even those hot running SFPs. I'm not complaining, I keep hearing more and more from the Qobuz streams. So much in the background of studio recordings, especially. It's intoxicating and I hate having to wait the 2 hours for the music room to warm up after returning from work.

Can you put a timer on the music room heating? There is a timer and I used to use it, but it's costly on electricity and there are some evenings I can't listen for various reasons, so I've gone manual. It makes me wait but there's no problem once the weather warms up a bit.

It makes me wait but there's no problem once the weather warms up a bit. It’s the summer that causes me problems listening to music as it ends up too warm. We’ve French doors in the living room that I usually have to open, but it means the neighbours have to listen to my music too.

Hah - I'm lucky as the music room (which is a detached converted double garage) stays relatively cool during the summer months and I don't have any valve gear generating unnecessary heat. No problems with bothering the neighbours, either.

Can't install any kind of intelligent wi-fi switch, Mike - that would be ideal!
It's a 20A breaker with relay and a timer.

What’s the reason behind not being able to install a Wi-Fi type switch?

It's a 20A breaker with relay and a timer. What’s the reason behind not being able to install a Wi-Fi type switch? There is no socket so it wont take one. It's a 20A switch and breaker near the floor with a timer on the wall.

Could you install a socket beside the breaker, In the fuseboard?
You could then use a Wi-Fi plug to operate a contactor, which the heating would be connected to.

Not worth it, really. Manual control forces me to remember.

I've received the G-Shield EMI paint. Now thinking about implementation. I can't stand the idea of painting my lovely wood-finish QA grounding boxes black.
Idea #2. If I position some carefully placed flat cardboard shields between the box and the system, and in one case between two boxes next to each other, I might achieve a large part of the necessary shielding. Cut holes for the terminals to protrude through. Worth a try.
A longer term idea: I could dismantle my system rack and paint the underside of each shelf, offering vertical shielding between components, especially the components with big transformers like the power amp and two regenerators, from the sensitive source components.
