The way the tech is moving and considering Martin's itchy feet you can have a second hand one, maybe Martin's Had thought about his LKS.

LOL - the technology with DACs seems to be faster changing than other aspects of audio, so I'd be comfortable changing a DAC more often than other components for sure.

From my perspective DACs seem to be changing very quickly indeed
Some punters have even worked out its not just 1s and 0s !

I've disconnected the external clock from the Gustard and reverted to its excellent X2 internal clock. It sounds just as good and, all things being equal, has removed a splitter and cable from the system.

Ah, but jitter (time-based noise) isn't the whole story. Phase noise (frequency-based noise) is just as important.
As for 'straight wire with gain', wasn't that Quad's motto? Hmm, I've heard better amplifiers.

Sounds good Can you hear a difference ? Yes, but describing it is very difficult. Having got used to the external clock for a couple of weeks, I think internal is just a smidge more coherent. Or fluid. Or something. You'd never know in an A/B comparison. It creeps up on you.

Similar to the Quartz grounding boxes There is a fullness, joined up ness or something Things I wasn't expecting

I received my second Aucharm grounding box today. That's gone in place of the Black Ravioli connected to the EtherREGEN. I'm quite taken aback as I can immediately hear the improvement in note decay and, more interestingly, dynamics and clout.
So that pretty much completes my journey into grounding boxes. Transformative as a whole? Yes, I can honestly say that they lift sound quality considerably, fully enabling the latent SQ of my individual components. My digital streaming system is performing at a high level with music simply bursting from the speakers.
Throughout all of my musical journey from LP/CD/SACD to streaming, the Ushers have remained a constant and are the sole survivors of all the upgrades. They just got better the more my system has evolved. I have huge respect for their abilities.

Have you tried granite coasters on the grounding boxes or one of your doorstops ? A granite placemat improved my RTZ 3

Yes, I will do as I have a few spare. BR Pads underneath work, too. It's pretty inexplicable as I don't even have a thought experiment to explain why.
