2012! i assumed the ones around that time were unnofficial! What label was it on? EMI / Harvest. They did DSOTM, WYWH, and The Wall. Cut by the late Doug Sax. New ones are cut by Bernie Grundman.

New ones are cut by Bernie Grundman. Anything mastered by him tends to be superb.

Can someone explain to me why the 'Atom Heart Mother' sleeve has been re produced with a laminated sleeve effect finish? I still have a 1st issue & that is not laminated?

These are probably the best Re-issues you are going to ever see in your lifetime, but so many let downs for me..

Some later 70s pressings did have laminate so maybe someone referenced the wrong version. Agree the PF labels could have been green and yellow with the new design without infringing copyright. Still overall I'm pretty pleased with the sound of these even if they can be bettered.

Maybe some 80's Re-issue then but the 1st issue was matt. At the end of the day these are suppose to be faithful to the original releases arnt the? Yep all they had to do was remove the Roger dean logo & any mention of EMI they would have been perfect. Can you see here a 1st issue KC label compared to the Present Re-Issue. These are great & im very happy indeed with them. However it does not make much scense carrying on after the Third KC Release with this design, but i can live with that.

Not on with sound onnerbart Sleeves & labels. You think its right to put a trendy modern design label on classic LP's from the 60's/70's?

You are being uber-picky like the Hoffmanites.
Next thing you will be going full-hog Hoffman and be bombarding the site with Eagles and Heart lps wot have subliminal messages claiming Paul McCartney is the True God.

I must say Ive never understood the love for Pink Floyd. It does nothing whatsoever for me. Come to think of it, I don't like any prog rock I've heard full stop.

I dont play the stupid audiophyle reissue game of common lps. The only one I have is Dark Side Of Moon - only because I got it free.
I do however have lots of Si-Wan (Korea) prog reissues, but thats because these lps are all devil-expensive to get as orig. (Also because I got them thru trade.)
I would never be so stupid as to actually dole out sheckles for common title reissues.

I wrote a track-by-track analysis of The Wall on other forums which I am not going to repeat here except to say:
You can keep ONE side-worth of that set. That should have been a EP. The rest is all FUCKING FILL - ambient toss, sound effect...man! open your ears and give that shit a serious listen.
The theme is juvenile.
Not that it matters, but there is precious little PROG on those 2 lps.
Sorry, but it irks me when noobs foist music like this on us.
