When I login, my login name and password is stored and appears automatically (the password in dots). However when I press Enter the password is rejected. I then type in the password I have set up for my account and all is well. Why is the automatically remembered password obviously different to the one stored in my profile ? I don't want to change my password as it is one I remember easily. Thanks

Apple OSX (Maverick) and Firefox
Ah, might be a browser function then . . .

It's definitely a browser/OS function and you need to either make it forget the old password or set it to remember the new one!

Try using Keychain Access in utils folder of Apps. In the keychain logins and Category passwords find Login.Proboards.Com and delete it. In Firefox Preferences, Security Logins try unticking Remember logins for site. Close Firefox. Reopen Firefox and login to TaS. Use TaS and then logout. Login again and note if you have the dots....... login. that should have come from keychain. Perhaps look at Keychain and see if the login.proboards.com has reappeared. Restart Firefox and retick Remember Logins. See how you get on. Those are the bits that affect your password. ATB

If you are a member of more than one forum that uses Proboard, the login to a particular forum has to be thought out if you are login in with a saved password. I save my password under Proboard TAS, and the other forums that I login to within Proboard are stored with their own abbreviation. That has solved the issue for me.
