He's only a short term fix. Always loses the plot when his ego gets the better of him. They should have given Moyes a decent chance 2 years ago or let Giggs have a go. Pretty difficult not to get in the top four with a few changes to the team. They only missed out on goal difference this season and were total rubbish for half of it! Van Gaal at least deserves credit for bringing on young players. I don't see the not so special one is compatible with the traditions of the Man U playing style.

Without doubt his first target is to qualify for the revenue booster that is the Champions League.
Recent absence from that competition has put a big dent in their finances.
