General questions re life in general.
Why does some modern "stainless steel" show rust marks ?
Is it cheap Chinese crap ?

The British Stainless Steel Association (and they should know) suggest that "stainless" means 'stain-less' not 'stain-impossible' i.e. it will stain less, not be without stain. Having said that they do comment that it should not corrode "under normal atmospheric conditions."

Ah. Obvious now I've read it.
Similar to the puncture *resistant* tyres on my bike, Conti 4 seasons if of interest Certainly not puncture proof. I had some Schwalbes that did not puncture in a few thousand miles. Shame they made the ride on the bike horrid but they didn't puncture !

Similarly, a.f.a.i.k. there is really no such thing as "bullet-proof glass." It is all bullet-resistant glass.
