I've heard more sense and had more entertainment from Beavis and Butt-Head.

What they're calling compression plugs is not what I've always thought them to be.
I thought they were plugs which held the cable by compressing them with some sort of screw (rather than soldering).
Those I'm not particularly keen on.
On the video they seem to be talking about a plug which has a screw to expand the plug when in the socket, in order to get maximum contact.
I've never seen those anywhere - do they exist ? (or are they only the Kimber Cables referred to in the video ?)
They seem a great idea to me.

Oh dear, I don't think I'd be taking much of what they've said seriously. They have an agenda, anyway, being a dealer. Yes, expanding 4mm plugs (seems a better name) are made by WBT and by whoever makes the plugs used on my Coherent cables. When tightened up, it's impossible to move them.

They also said Kimber was a good example of a low capacitance cable Thats's before we get into their "debunking" of cryo treatment when it actually does alter molecular structure. Next we have the "if you can't measure it, you can't hear it argument followed by "here's some of our foo. This actually does work". Yeah right. Why is it always the complete and utter dicks who profess to be experts. I'm reminded of the Lao Tzu proverb: "He who knows does not speak: He who speaks does not know"

I like the idea of the plugs as they possibly reduce oxidation. As for cables I use 10 amp mains on my second system and am quite happy with it. My skin does not effect the sound!!!
