How The Faroe Islands attempt to get on Google Street View. I think it's even funnier because it's true. Grauniad Link

Proving that I can break kit by standing next to it.
Drawing out cash from a hole in the wall.
Card in.
Nothing (apart from a flashing light above where the card went in)
Wait a while. Still nothing.
Slightly worried I've lost my card.
Still nothing.
I am on my bike so will be difficult to go in the bank and I don't want to leave it outside. No problem as there is half the population of England in there.
Hole in the wall - still nothing
I press Cancel and other buttons
Nothing
I press all the buttons, quite a few times.
So what do I do, cycle home and ring my bank ? Wait a bit longer. Card pops out - oh joy.
The screen now shows what looks like scrolling error messages in DOS. Lots of them.
Windows XP start screen comes up At this point I laugh
Finally "This machine is temporarily out of order"
So no dough there then
Anyone want some kit broken ?

I checked and apparently OS/2 is used in a lot of machinery as embedded controllers. It's at least more secure and stable than Windows XP!

Released in 1987, discontinued in 2006 but development continued as eComStation. I guess that's why it's still running in cash machines and such. I did have a good laugh when the IBM OS/2 logo flashed up!

Cycling along a main road.
See a bloke mowing grass. He's wearing what looks like a straw sombrero, big hat.
He turns around to mow back
I see he is wearing big 50s style shades and has a bushy dark brown moustache
Looks just like an extra out of a western - I theeenk

Going to work early in order to help others meet a deadline and then finding yourself being the last one to leave the office on a Friday night and only to endure a 2 hour drive home. All in all, almost 12 hours committed to work.
Deadline met? Nope, not a chance.
If you don't laugh at something like that, well......
