Give them a few years and they will, look back and laugh at how big and clumsy the tech was. By the time they reach adulthood, VR will probably be built into normal size specs, or maybe even contact lenses if nano technology takes off.

Yip and there's a fair chance their Daddy(pictured)will be making it. He works for Apple but if I told you more I'd have to kill you. And that's not good coz we're pals.

I said in a presentation to my staff several years ago that in time we'd all be wearing invisible head-up displays and tiny ear-pieces. I also said that exam cheating was going to be a major issue. They all laughed at me!

I remember VR headsets from the '90s - big and clumsy things they were ..... and here we are over 20 years later and VR headsets are, well, big and clumsy things

I said in a presentation to my staff several years ago that in time we'd all be wearing invisible head-up displays and tiny ear-pieces. I also said that exam cheating was going to be a major issue. They all laughed at me! I remember well an essay by Sadie Plant in Wired from about 1995 in which she predicted with resolute assurance that virtual learning via digital technologies would make Universities redundant within a matter of years. Having attended a number of Open Days with my daughter last year I can now assure Sadie that her predictions were about as accurate as an episode of The Jetsons .... Universities are not only alive and well but have become flourishing business enterprises with fees of £9k a year (and rising...)

Indeed they have. Some things have changed, though, like depending on online research rather than good old book reading and studying in the library.
