A great artist who left us far too early. I have everything he did and all of it is good. Much of it is outstanding. Most or all albums are very well made. Upgrade to kit reveal more and more of what was made. Some albums have 1 or 2 sublime tracks which are worth buying the album for on their own The albums I chased hard a few years ago are now being bundled together with bonus tracks at silly prices. This seller on Ebay has them. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROBERT-PALMER-SOME-PEOPLE-CAN-DO-WHAT-THEY-LIKE-DOUBLE-FUN-2-CD-SET-/131759991683?hash=item1ead81eb83:g:umEAAOSwo0JWHU47Also on Amazon and other places I'm sure Thanks to a reviewer on Amazon I found out that the two Addictions Volumes although 'compilations' have all the tracks redone - to the point where I could barely work out how the original sounded. You might know he almost joined Little Feat....

I've tried with him, and again on your recommendation. Just not getting it, I'm afraid (rather like you with Dire Straits).

Surprising what we disagree on when we agree on so much.
The top albums for me Honey Heavy Nova Rhythm and Blues Some people... Addictions V1 and 2 Double Fun Drive Pressure Drop Sneakin' Sally...
I'm happy listening to any of his albums anytime. So far as I remember all are superbly well made

Like the bonkers album 'Honey' which you recommended to me last year Mike… quite brilliant really… and I have a couple of his compilations.

Honey covers such a huge range. It stands apart from the rest for that

Honey covers such a huge range. It stands apart from the rest for that I'd certainly like to know what he was on when he wrote and recorded it and wonder why he didn't share
