I can see that Wonder why I have so often seen that described as a spur.... puzzling Radial it is Just one of those funny things. let me let you into a family joke, I was calling handbag a hambag until only about 5 years ago, I always wondered why the heck was it called a hambag? I just put it down to some old timely tradition, women having some obsession about ham or something.

Free is cheaper than cheap
One for everyone
Been fiddling around with the kit recently and surprised to hear how good it sounded. Could it be the unplugging and plugging back in ?
Let's try Test - nice All off Circuit breaker off for safety Everything plugged into the wall in the circuit out and in 4 times - must be enough surely Items in the AM conditioner out and in as well.
Circuit breaker back on. Kit back on
Ooh step up. More detail, more bass. You'd pay money for that improvement Bonkers - Free
Give it a go and say how you got on

I have to still unplug and re plug my system every time I listen To be honest I find it a bit of a chore but it will then perform to its full potential I have a factory close to me and this seems to be the best way of maintaining the system

Would hate to have to do it every day. Once a month seems a fair bet.

Wow - old thread resurrection (but a good'un).
Breaking and making every connection (power and signal) is well worth doing once a year. I say that if you can put a bit of contact cleaner (or, better still, graphene) on at the same time, you're doing a clean-and-maintain operation in one go.
John, your issue is different, it cannot be down to dirty contacts. A device in your system is latching into a mode or state that cannot be recovered until a full reset. I don't know what it might be (although my first suspect would be your streamer or DAC), but why don't you try unplugging only one item at a time and see which affects the sound?

I have done every combination and find it best to reboot the whole system Agree its more to do with the factory noise At the weekends I can get away not doing it

Free An Oiker Great for oiking cables off the floor when behind a rack or similar. Very useful A metal coat hanger would do, but look out for electrical I had a bit of plastic covered stiff wire from the garden. Just under a metre long. Alternatively if you want to spend money a grabber, litter picker gives even more to grab bits behind the rack Long Reach Grabber - 75cm
