Has anyone had a chance to hear these speakers? audio-high-end.com/486/orbital-3d-system.htmThey remind me of the RAAL-requisite with the top, but the ribbon seems much larger. This part also took my attention: "No traditional L-C-R crosover. NO crossover coils in "Orbital360" at all. Only one capacitor per one mid/high/ultra high loudspeaker." I wondered if anyone can tell a bit more about these speakers from technical perspective (somewhere I've read they are 4-way, than they claim no crossover so kind of confused here) as well as what they sound. ...I found online they were present at National Audio Show in Whittlebury.

They look interesting. I've never heard of them, though I have read about the other speakers they make.

I don't think paraffin heaters like these could ever find their way into many stylish or traditional homes. God they look awful before you even start to look at any supposed 'technology' inside - eek! Just my opinion, of course

They are certainly an acquired taste, aesthetically.

I totally agree, they really look bad. ...would like to hear them though.

That look might put me off if they sounded fantastic

Just my opinion, of course Mine too, although I'd put up with the looks if they're way better than the competition

I heard them at the Whittlebury show. They looked like an electrostatic top unit married to a moving coil bass unit and rather sounded that way too with the mid and upper frequencies much more spacious and focussed than the bass - they were quite extraordinarily ugly too .

Mud frequencies - Proper hi-fi then! Excellent.

Corrected to mid.

I guessed there was a very good chance it was a typo because, as we all know, muddiness is always restricted to the bass region.

I think you can probably have a muddy mid, in fact I would attribute that very quality to some Ming Da mono amps I heard. However, in this case that was not the issue.
