I'm looking at building a pair of subs using the Eminence Lab12C, one sealed the other ported, both based on the Eminence cabinet recommendations (http://www.parts-express.com/pedocs/...-more-info.pdf).
The sealed sub will be based on the medium sealed sub design from Eminence which appears to be the basis of the Zu Audio Undertone (http://www.zuaudio.com/loudspeakers/undertone). I'm thinking of using a SAM 300D (http://www.monacor.de/en/products/sp...ules/sam-300d/) amp plate as I intend to hook up the high level input with my main speakers and connect the low level from the pre-amp for AV.
The ported sub will be based on the large vented sub design from Eminence which looks very similar to the BK Electronics Monolith Plus (http://www.bkelec.com/HiFi/Sub_Woofe...th-FF_Plus.htm). This will be used purely for the low level output from the pre-amp and will be solely for AV. I'm thinking of using the Behringer iNuke 1000DSP (https://www.music-group.com/Categori...000DSP/p/P0AEJ) as I think this will deliver the required power (750w into 4ohm (bridged))and has the benefit of active crossovers.
I'd appreciate any input on this namely: Does the SAM 300D deliver enough power? If so what about crossover, the Eminence documentation recommends using a steep high pass at 35 Hz, how is this achieved without a crossover?

I stay away from the BK Electronics the Behringer iNuke is in a different league for bass duties The SAM300d should be good If the crossover just for the bass just go for DSP with the iNuke then dial in the crossover via your computer

Thanks John, I take it you see nothing inherently wrong with this approach then? I think I'll get a LAB12 and a SAM300D ordered to get started on the sealed sub, I would prefer to power both with inukes but want the high level input for the sealed sub.
