So is the "Schmuck -Klinik" somewhere you go to be treated for an STD?
Apropos S.M.E.G.M.A. - don't these people think their acronyms through? I, for one could never use a SMEG refrigerator: since 'Red Dwarf', I would never be able to trust the top of the milk bottle kept in such a fridge! Presumably it means something else in Swedish?

Not a sign but can a hi-fi company really be taken seriously with a name like SCHIIT?? Especially if they call one of their products WYRD!!

Instructions for zero gravity toilet from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Brilliant (including typos as it was never meant to be read)!

. This very sign, the original, was in the toilet of Arthur C Clarke's upstairs office in his house in Colombo when I visited him in 1991. He was chairman of the board of governors of the university and hence had the right to a flag pole and flag on the bonnet of his LWB Mercedes that was sent to my hotel to collect me !
Happy days.....................

It was indeed. One of the most pivotal things Arthur told me was, that when in foreign countries or even just on holiday, that you should experience it in real time, not from behind a camera viewfinder !
I worked with him later at the "Minehead Space Age Festival" in July 1992, where we had David Bowman's red helmet from "open the pod bay doors Hal". Mat Irvine who created Orac from Blake's 7. And someone who I had never heard of called Terry Pratchett who had a pile of books with him, he seemed a nice bloke

Many tourists miss so much because they're too busy getting the perfect shot. Some just annoy the hell out of me, especially those who feel the need to pose in front of every monument and scene. Why don't they just look at it and try to remember it? Who the hell wants to see "...and this is me in front of Nelson's column"
