Hi chaps. I am trying to sell some items that are non Hifi and are either large or heavy so postage is costly. my question is what is the best way to sell it and which medium ie. Ebay etc. I would love to be able to sell a load of Kardean flooring, I have about £800 of overstock and would be happy to accept only a few hundred for it. I have put it on eBay a few times. It is normally sold per metre. The rrp is £65 I I put it up for £30pm but no takers. As its heavy I don't know if there is a local way to sell it etc. any advice would be appreciated as I'm trying to raise some funds. Thanks

How about trying some of the old fashioned ways? Ad in the local paper, newsagent's window, supermarket notice board....that kind of thing

Gumtree or eBay if you set the start price low and collection-only.

Go local
Unusual item, Ebay, collect only, Maidstone - doesn't look a good bet
Someone *wants* that stuff. Could you deliver it locally ? There are pallet delivery companies that coudl take that almost anywhere in the UK for as little as £30

I've given up trying to sell stuff I don't want/need due to the hassle involved - I always ended up getting a fraction of the value and a lot of aggravation. If you sell stuff via Amazon etc I believe the rules can also be restrictive. I don't trust EBay after my nephew lost a lot of money on a sale that went bad.
Now I just bite the bullet and give it to charity (usually BHF as they seem to take anything, and will collect it from you)

I've just sold the entire furnished and large items from my flat before moving abroad on Gumtree. Price it right and it literally flies out the door! My Technics 1210 sold in seconds and i could have sold it 10 times over! My beds, dining room suite and sofa went very quickly too. Just watch out for the time wasters, seems a lot on Gumtree so you need to pin them down.
Smaller stuff I posted on both Gumtree and ebay, priced higher on ebay. Sold everything of value, took other stuff to Cancer Research, the rest went to the recycling centre. My entire life now fits in 20 sq ft of storage!

I sold a car within literally 30 seconds of placing the ad on Gumtree.
