Krell FPB600. Not nearly as large, but I bet you could tighten them up well.

Ah, one of those testosterone threads. But how do you actually get the cable in to that Accuphase? Does it take spades and banana plugs? No! - horrors! - banana plugs are for wimps. I guess these are for the spade lug torque it 'til it squeaks brigade!

I far prefer (good) 4mm plugs.

Me, too! .. although my current speaker cables are American and have spades. Quite inconvenient at times!

My jumpers and SPECS have spades, leaving the 4mm speaker sockets for my cables.

My baby Krell has deep brass? nuts and again, spades are called for.
I like Z plugs and have used them for many years now since my time selling Linn gear in the early noughties. Easily opened up if they loosen off, they actually *seem* to offer larger contact area than a solid pin/spring type I think.

I have bananas at the speaker end and spades at the amp end for the Levinsons but for the Radford, I go with bananas both ends. I don't like Z-plugs as the ones I've tried have felt quite flimsy and easy to bend - I would hate to think of one breaking off while connected if a bit of sideways pressure were to be accidentally applied. Anyway, back to big fat sockets, how about these on a Sony TA A1-ES integrated?

As you say, they are easy to maintain with a tight fit.

You can see the quite large WBT terminals at the rear of my speakers.
