Hi Guys , Thought I ought to do the right thing by registering rather than lurking in the shadows as a guest so to speak. I have had the audio bug for over 45 years so probably not a Nubee but definitely know I have still a lot to learn. My rig is relatively modest comprising a Rega RP3 with Denon DL-110 with Schiit Audio Mani Phono stage plus Denon DCD520AE into an NVA P50 controlling my 42 year old Crown D60 power amp that I have owned from new and driving my Rega RS3 speakers. Anyway looking forward to reading some threads, getting to know you and contributing my experience when I think it will be useful to others. Here is wishing everyone a happy, healthy and above all peaceful New Year in 2016! cheers Chris

Welcome to TAS, Chris. That's some nice kit, how do the NVA and Crown work together?
Dive in and enjoy. Oh and a Happy New Year to you, too!

Thanks Martin. Perhaps a little surprisingly the NVA P50 works really well with my Crown D60. Level/gain is never a problem especially as the Schiit Audio phono stage has adjustable gain and loading.

A'noon squire Glad you came along and hope you enjoy the ride. Those old Crown amps were very expensive back in the day (when Chris and I first met and worked together on Saturdays). Even after forty years of thrashing and careless use, they still come back for more - carbon 10% resistors and all - although the audio path is quite simple and with then hugely expensive 1% resistors where it really mattered for long term performance reliability, the rest being I/V regulation and safety limiting on every amp stage in case of failure. Huge fun and still great sound which is neutral but NEVER boring in my experience. I may have to sell the second set of bridged D-60's when they arrive and replace with a D-150A...
