The reasons I designed this was I hate remote controls, like when I had a home before TQ pushed me out and made me homeless 6 of the bloody things to find after they went walkies.

I couldn't do without remote volume control, as sitting where I listen is the only way to judge it without several trips to the preamp.

Thyristor and the use of there holding current as a way of storing a ON or OFF signal have been used many times in the Dark ages of electronic when Germanium ruled. Also great as crowbars for OV protection. And you can make low bandwidth Class D Amps with them in full bridge. The I2T rating beats any FET size for size. I love em.
