Thought you may be interested in some system pics.
These are the most recent addition. Over the last few days i have removed the internal wadding and replaced the drivers, as the originals were all worse for wear, other than for one of the 'nipple type' Allison tweeter units. The cabinets were quite dull, but after some general tidying they are looking a fair bit better. Crossover minimisation and internal plating of the cabinet will follow at some point, but at the moment, i am very much happy how they are. Originally of course these were a pair Allison Sixs, but i do appreciate that they've gone off track somewhat from their original specification.
I suppose this leads on to the Cube 1s, which i still consider my main speakers. They now feature the same eight inch doped kevlar driver that i used for the Allisons. These units are used in the current Cube range and replaced the original bextrene mid bass drivers. My Cubes are a Mk1 pair from the 90s, so are of more traditional construction in comparison to the current Acrylic version. They also feature an additional side mounted tweeter, which doesn't feature in the current Cube 1.
Amplification is in the form of a pair of A80 Monoblock power amps and The Control Statement (TCS) which is a passive pre amplifier. I also have Statement series speaker cable (TSCS) and interconnect (TIS) between source and preamp. Super Sound Pipe is used between preamp and power amps. I also have a balanced mains unit, which will not be leaving my clutches.
I use a couple of PCs as sources, including The Future Statement with JRiver and Qobuz. While there's plenty of spare kit lying around, i finally seem 'almost' satisfied, which is nice. I really didnt get on with the Cubes at first, but once i started to understand how you integrate them with room, it all clicked into place.
