Bit annoying. Seems to be the left channel(as you look at the amp). Tried a different set of speakers but just one of thems sounding off as well. The heaters on the valves are showing and I've swapped them round.
Any ideas?

Have you checked that it's not at the source or it's cabling first?

Yep - swap speaker cables, then swap interconnect cables to determine where in the chain the fault lies. Keep the volume low!

Been swapping a few bits n bobs - bit awkward as I'm always switching the amp off. Keeping at it.

Yes, whatever you do, don't have the amp switched on while you change speaker cables - you'll kill it for sure!
Sounds like you already know this anyway, but better safe than sorry, eh?.

Swapped the anks onto the wee NAD amp - no problem. Hook them back up to the valves and the non working side has swapped!! Odd. Seems like the speaker is getting a signal but it's very very quiet

Swapping the speaker around (onthe speaker posts) has now resulted in a speaker that did sound fine now sounding quiet and rough. Not good.

No ChrisB,no progress. I wanted a wee bit work done on it anyway so will get it fixed and (maybe) get the extra wee bit done at the same time.
Bloody annoying.
