Which single song or piece of music would you like to ensure that you never, ever hear again?
Encased in metres of concrete down at the bottom of a mineshaft....

For me, right now it's that bloody Kylie Minogue song, which I heard a second or so of this morning, but now I can't get it out of my head. You know, that one.

Choose with care John - you only get to banish one.

I wish to purge the memory of all and any rubbish songs that were played to death on radios I have been forced to listen to over my lifetime
So a generic answer as there are so damned many

I don't think there are many I could say were so painful that I'd never want to hear them again, ever. There are loads I'd be happy to never hear again but only because I consider them to be cr@p, which is nothing more than a personal judgement. To dispose of them in the way suggested I think I'd like to feel I was doing the whole world a favour rather than just doing it for personal reasons. That bloody awful version of "World in Union" by Paloma Faith that they used for the Rugby World Cup comes to mind.

That effing song by The Pogues played every Christmas. It makes me want to wreak extermination on every band member, especially the drunken singer, for inflicting that shit on our radio waves.
EDIT: I would definitely be doing the world a favour.

No, no, Greg Lake's Crimbo song is good, a nice slice of proggy classical.

The Pogues – 'Fairytale of New York'
I fecking hate this song with a passion, if fact if anyone plays it I instantly poke their eyes out, then prepare a nice curry sauce for their freshly ripped out heart, whilst chewing slowly on their eyes !!!!!
Nothing comes close to the disdain I have for this song . . .

Fairytale of New York? Brilliant! Especially this version.
I've actually got the album this is taken from. It was a Christmas present from my sister-in-law.
