Hi,
I bought my first stereo 40 years ago (BSR deck, rebadged rotel amp, lord knows what speakers) and have spent the intervening years gradually improving the set up. Roughly in order (but not complete): Quad 22/II, Wharfdale Glendales, Rega 2, Mission 710, Quantum 102/202D, LP12+BASIK, ITTOCK, Onix oa20, mk1 Rega Ela, Naim Nait 3.
Long break while children were growing up.
Current main system: LP12 (pre circus), Ittok, DV20X, NVA Phono 2, NVA P50/A4O's, Rega Ela
various bits and pieces in use in dining room and study, Quads in bits in cupboard
I like your ethos.

Thanks for the welcome chaps,
Could I suggest the addition of a DIY forum, I may have just become the owner of a pair of Goodmans Magnums and wouldn't mind sharing experiences if things pan out right!

Thanks for the welcome chaps, Could I suggest the addition of a DIY forum, I may have just become the owner of a pair of Goodmans Magnums and wouldn't mind sharing experiences if things pan out right! It has been discussed Guy. However, we think that DIY threads should go into the section relating to the type of kit you're working on. So start a thread in the Speakers board if you want to discuss your Magnums. It should be straightforward as long as you don't intend to convert your speakers to (for example) an amp. In such cases, it would probably be safest to post two threads - one in each section. Let's hope you never need to do that, eh?!
