Working Without A Net ~ Janis Ian (CD)
It would appear that Ms Ian's people are busy removing all her works from the various streaming sites. I'm wondering whether that is a wise move...

Courage of Lassie? Is there a song about someone trapped down a mineshaft?!

Hah! Nice slightly Cajun, slightly folky oriented Canadian music. No sign of a sentient dog anywhere!

HOLY SHIT Gordon, that is just too spooky, I was listening to this only yesterday up at my Dad's place in Wales! Great album by the way and I wouldn't have put you down as an Arlo fan

John Grant - Pale Green Ghosts
I saw him perform some songs from this album on Jools Holland a while ago and was hooked.

I still have this memory of the girl with a terrible cold trying to get him to sleep with her as she like to get all the singers. The title track being live makes it more interesting with all the little slips. Poor guy had to do three or four times apparently. He ain't Woodie but the family genes are definitely in there.

Oh and why not ...he says in a huff!!! Haha, just didn't think Arlo was your thing . . . mind you I do remember you like Willie Nelson, so I shouldn't make such assumptions I have seen the film, but it must be at least 30 years ago now, so might have to hunt it down. Look out for John Fullbright Gordon, he's from the Okemah, Oklahoma area - a great young singer/songwriter. Spinning now . . . Bob Dylan - Another Side of Bob Dylan1964 Released 50 years ago this month!

Still not overwhelmed but some people are slow burners so I'll download a few and listen at length.
