Deepchord - Silent World (2012) ...a lovely slab of ethereal dub techno.

Sia - 1000 Forms of Fear
Just released. Typical Sia lazy delivery style and some good songs. Shame it's mixed for loudness, but a good listen nontheless.

Taking the opportunity while Ms. Pinch is away to get my drone on (she hates this stuff)!
Robert Hampson - Suspended Cadences (2012)
Recording the LP to tape as I go, so I have a more portable version.

Just buy a machine!

Well, I'd need to get a lot of machines to achieve the rich tonal complexity of full-on machine room drones, plus that thing I said about Ms. Pinch - I think owning bulky machines purely for the unpleasant noises they make would more or less be the limit. Aside: A few years ago I heard a recording from a factory in China, in which new iPads were being tested for battery life - thousands of them; made an amazing sound!

That's my favourite Beatles album Chris ...and mine I used to think I was out of touch rating that so high, 9/10 Almost everyone else seems to think Sgt Pepper is the best, perhaps they didn't hear the others I rate With the Beatles 9/10 too

Ellie Goulding - Lights
Exactly *not* my sort of music at all !!!
After seeing her at Glasto and rating her the best act this year, seeing her energy, enthusiasm and musicianship.
Very well made too

It's not my kind of music either, but she has some good moments with some of her songs.

The more I hear the more I'm impressed.
I must get into my head it's not the genre or type - it's the way they do it. Add on the excellent production and we have a winner
