I saw Stanley at the RFH with Larry Carlton as support A outstanding guitarist, set apart by his two and tapping technique, I believe he sometimes plays two guitars simultaneously or a guitar and piano, one with each hand.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band : The Beatles. Vinyl LP a Nimbus Studio Half Speed Master " Supercut" Recording, Originally recorded on a 4 track , 8 track was a year or two away. Released 1967 on Parlophone. Tape loop/special effects by Geoff Emerick, Producer/ mixing George Martin. Remastered by Jack Hunt. Pressed by Nimbus Records. Released 1984. All "Nimbus Supercut LPs were released as a mail order only promotion to Practical Hi-Fi and Hi-Fi today magazine readers in 1984. Nimbus Supercut releases were mastered from the the original master tapes, through an all valve mastering process, using no limiting, to result in a high quality pressing which was as close as possible in sound to the original recording. Nimbus also had ICI produce an extremely pure vinyl for this release, which has exceptional frequency reproduction and is virtually noise free" I ordered this Album one of 1000 in 1984 as above but being valuable it is rarely played, once or twice a year normally it's one of the other copy's I use, playing it today after sprinkling Stack Audio Auvas 100's & EQ's under my speakers & electronics, today so many micro details were apparent for the first time the valve vs solid state mixing desks must account for the rounded/full sound, I use an all valve amplification system that works with my One Thing Audio Quad 57's I have found that for me only valves can handle treble correctly. This album despite all the hype is exceptional & does not suffer from extra sibilance unlike some other Half Speed Mastered recordings. Recently it has become almost fashion to diss Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band in favor of other Beatles albums for me it still represents the Beatles at the top of their game. This album takes what was a good album & elevates it to exceptional, Buying this album would cost a fortune but there is nothing wrong with the original that I also recommend.

You are a lucky chap to have the Nimbus version, a friend of mine has around 8 other Nimbus pressings from back in the day. I also think Sgt. Peppers is one their best, I have and original early steroids copy and it is rather good, usually gets a play at least once a year.

Yes I am lucky, I have a couple of Nimbus classical LP's not as valuable, though I wish I had bought more, but I had a young family nappies & milk etc. were a greater priority.
