Ruby: Red Crystal Fantasies. 1974 Vinyl LP. Given to me pre-release by one of the group who was an upstairs neighbour & friend.
The friend used to fill in at gigs for members of Tyrannosaurus Rex before they became T Rex. All of the group were very talented some quite well known like Rab Monro & Geoff Swettenham the album has become a bit of a cult thing. Sounds better on my system but youtube gives an idea.
From memory a backer took his money elsewhere & they folded.
I really love the album have a listen on youtube.

Diamond Head - Canterbury Underrated album it was let down by the doggy pressing and the record company having no idea how to promote the band I think also was difficult for many early fans as much more progressive and commercial than the previous stuff. |
