Listening to Looking for the Summer by Chris Rea on Qobuz open.qobuz.com/track/44667834Chris Rea was an avid Caterham 7'er. Hence the cover of Auberge He raced a Vauxham powered one in the early 90s. A few years later I bought a 2nd hand set of Jenvey throttle bodies (Fuel injection) and mapping control unit. Had endless fun tuning for power and clean throttle pick up. They made my 2l VX into a beast, that and a free flow, through the bonnet exhaust, and some hotter cams and head work. In race trim close to the magic 500bhp per tonne. Anyway, the Throttle Bodies were inscribed CR and the map in control unit had his name. Fun little story. I'm sure I drove faster knowing that and with the track You're Not A Number*, in my head! Ref to The Prisoner, quirky 60s series, staring Patrick Mcgoohan "I am not a number"😀

Tubular Bells : Mike Oldfield + listed musicians. From a Virgin HD Tivo box recording of a BBC studio performance from 1974. Original LP Recorded November 1972-April 1973. Studio The Manor Oxfordshire (now closed). Producers & Engineers Mike Oldfield, Tom Newman, Simon Heyworth. Released 25th May 1973. Label : Virgin Records (Virgin's first release) Unlike the LP where Mike Oldfield played every instrument but the drums on side 2 the musicians who played at this BBC studio concert were John Field - flute, Fred Frith - bass, guitar, John Greaves - keyboards, Steve Hillage - guitar, Tim Hodgkinson - keyboards, Karl Jenkins - oboe, Geoff Leigh - flute, Pierre Moerlen - percussion, Mike Oldfield - bass, guitar, Terry Oldfield - flute, Mike Ratledge - keyboards, Mick Taylor - guitar, Ted Speight - guitar, bass, Tom Newman - voice, + a Choir? The LP was slow to move initially that is until The Exorcist used the opening theme in it's sound track the album took of exponentially selling millions... I bought the original when it came out in 1973 I did not see The Exorcist until the 1990's, I still play the LP regularly, This BBC 1973 studio concert is bloody marvellous well miked & recorded & has not aged, recommended.
