This is not an album that would have normally have piqued my interest, however a couple of years ago my son was playing it, on his Mark Manwaring-White modified & recapped X over front vented TDL non transmission line floor standers when I visited him & his wife. It gained my musical interest. After changing all 9 pin ECC83's & ECC82'Sin my pre & power amp for 8 pin 6SL7's & 6SN7's I asked John to bring the CD's over, It played it quite well, the OTA Quad 57's I thought struggled in just a couple of places. I was sufficiently interested & bought the album.
Today having spent time removing or properly preventing RFI/EMI & 50h hum entering the system, I put the album on & it played perfectly from my CD4se via the Caiman/Dorado3 DAC, no problem with the low bass notes when played at my normal listening level.
I recommend this iconic disparate style album.
