I generally avoid big DVD sets like the plague for a number of reasons ie:cardboard packages that are easily suseptable to Damage, a lot of discs to get through before your return for replacement rights become none void etc.. However i really have no option but to buy the present The Avengers complete Collection [approx 39 discs in all] When i bought my present DVD set only Region 1 was available. This set is Region 2 so it's a must have really. However does anyone have this or the 50th Anniversay set who can confirm what the packaging quality is like & most importantly does it have proper disc trays inside or the dreaded pockets? What is the picture Quality like does it still retain that warm colourfull Analogue quality or that somewhat bleeched Digital quality to it?

I only have the complete Emma Peel box set. Good to know the whole shebang is now available on region 2. It's a show I never tire of.

The Emma Peel episodes are the ones people favour, however i thought that the Tara King episodes were my fav because i prefered the Sets & especailly 'Mother' & his assistant Rhonda who never speaks..Brilliant stuff.
The three greatest TV series for me has to be 'The Prisoner'/'The Avengers' & Gerry Andersons: 'U.F.O' Totally & Utterly first class

Slightly pipped by Thunderbirds for me, because I grew up with it and because it's completely brilliant.
