That motor looks a work of art. It does doesn't it ! Apart from the SL-1200 shaft tapered sleeve. This is a world exclusive for TAS as the photo has never been shown on the internet before. I don't see the tapered shaft as a bad thing, maybe Panasonic recognise that it's the most secure method of attaching a platter. Thanks for the exclusive!

Looks ugly to me I'm afraid. More the sort of thing I'd expect of a prototype or a DIY build. Andrew, were you thinking that's the finished deck? It's just the new direct drive motor.

Wow, thanks for that Dave, we are honoured! Indeed, there's a scoop eh.. as Martin touched on, that motor looks immense, i wonder if it's time to dive in to DD territory....price pending.
