Yesterday i recieved a bunch of 12" singles i was missing to find something really odd! after 35 years of buying vinyl records this is the first time ever that i have encountered a record playing from the inside out.. Anyone else come across this?

I have never owned one but I know they exist and that there have been quite a few. The first one I heard of was by King Kurt in the 1980s. Jack White released an album last year that had all sorts of stuff like this on it, including one side that played from the inside and tracks that play at different speeds, making it a three speed disc. I remember reading something about it and being surprised that it has been going on for a lo-o-ong time. Like since the 1940s. In which case, I expect that since they would have been 78 rpm discs, you would have needed a tonearm catcher near the rim!

It's all fine but if i don't lift the arm off the Record straight away after finish the arm will run straight off the record & wreck the tip.

Isn't there a locking groove on the outside?

What should you do with your bias setting on a record like that?

Don't put yourself through the hassle of altering it for such a stupid idea lol

Well, if you reset it a lot, it might not fly off the edge so fast!

There was a Monty Python LP with 2 grooves Think it was one side with 2 grooves, so equivalent to 3 sides on 1 LP
The Marshall Suite by The Fall is a double LP - with one side completely blank, another 3 sided jobbie
