Ever wanted something all your life but never could afford one & never see any light at the end of the tunnel regarding ever owning one?
Ive always had a life long fasination with the ARP '2500' modular system.
The closest ive even been was i used to own a semi-modular '2600', 'Odyssey' & 'Quadra'..
The thing with '2500's' is they were unlike other Modulars of the time in a few ways, the obvious one is you don't need masses of patch leads to make up your desired patches they are carred out with a series of Matrix pannels {Sliders}..

Infinity IRS V Mk. III Speakers. Definitely the speaker of my dreams. No idea if I'll ever own a set, but would like to fly to Boulder to hear Paul McGowan's.

The most stunning aircraft ever designed? Those wings are frankly preposterous... and amazing and daring and audacious. If I were a jet pilot and won millions I would HAVE to have one. It climbed to 82,000ft in less than 5 minutes; achieved a world record altitude of over 103,000ft; flew faster than Concorde. All in 1958. What a plane!

I'd prefer something that was more usable on a daily basis. Plenty of power and the ability to be drop top or tin top.
My favourite (at the moment) would be the Mercedes SL600 V-12.

And, for occasions when two seats are not enough, a Bentley Flying Spur V-8.
Some may criticize it's more humble VW or Audi underpinning but to me it's a beast worthy of desire.

If one is talking of amazing planes it has to be the SR-71 Blackbird. I saw the last UK based one leave Mildenhall many years ago and to say it was impressive is a total understatement.

It doesn't diminish the sheer beauty of the design for me; and yes, I'm sure I want to go up in one

Lockheed's skunkworks were certainly a fantastically inventive team, Philip.

Lets not forget the 2 wheel dream.
A Vincent Black Shadow. I can remember in the 60's they were quite affordable. I saw one at a bike gathering last week and very nearly had a trouser accident.

And to round things off, a garden railway round the grounds of my mansion on the same scale as those on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway.
