Mac viruses have been around for a long time. This belief that it is impenetrable is just that, a belief perpetrated by Apple themselves.
Put Sophos Free AV for Mac on it fast!

Macs run IOS at some level. So do iPads and iPod5s and upwards, and of course the ubiquitous iPhone.
They are all vulnerable to attack.
