Dear Greg,
The use of the word 'rubbish' was ungentlemanly and vulgar, I sir, am a gentleman.
My understanding of police procedures follows a six week period working very closely with them and undergoing screening before signing the official secret's act myself.
Of course prisoners abscond from category A prisons, not all prisoners are category A, in a category A prison. The custody of prisoners in a Crown Court is often the responsibility of Her Majesty's Constabulary.
Finally, mentioning specific times, dates and personnel proves that you are very foolhardy indeed, or that you have not signed the afor mentioned act. As I said in a previous post, if such technology existed it would be used in place of speed cameras and make a considerable revenue for the DVLA. The average constable hardly uses a computer, never mind Enterprise-type sensors.
Now I suggest we leave the matter and return to Audio.
The use of the word 'rubbish' was accurate and was neither (please note the correct use of this word...see your previous reply) ungentlemanly or vulgar. It was simply a valid observation of crap that had been previously written. Don't beat yourself up over this. The internet is riddled with crap from people who don't know, yet in that ignorance still feel a need to make a contribution.
As for your claim to be a gentleman, surely it is only third parties who have the authority to award you that distinction? No individual can make such a claim unless that is how they are publically (this forum) recognised by others.
OK, so you are employed in an organisation that links with the police but does not work directly with them, and you have had the benefit of a six week course of association and orientation. The police will not have told you on that course anything about their investigative capability, in fact, they don't even tell their own officers unless it is on a need to know basis. I spent 30 years in the service and unless something was relevant to my role, nothing was shared beyond those who, as said, need to know.
The signing of the official secrets act is no big deal. Many people in many organisations have to do this, after they have been vetted and passed muster. Few of them have any understanding of what they have signed and have little knowledge of the related legislation.
The custody of prisoners at court these days is generally the responsibility of private security firms, the main one being G4. This has been the practice in my area for the last 15 years and I believe it is country wide now. Nevertheless, when G4 mess up and someone absconds, the first point of call (rightfully) is the local police, hence you receiving a call from the constabulary when one of your prisoners is missing. Cup of tea in mothers kitchen? Yep, absolutely right and the officer who called you was probably a little inexperienced, albeit, if you don't ask the question, you'll never know what the answer might rewardingly be.
your comment about speed cameras and chips in cars is simply paranoid nonsense.
Your final statement compounds your revealed lack of knowledge and understanding around all things legally in the public domain. You show your ignorance of the Official Secrets Act (which you have apparently signed ) and Data Protection. What I wrote above is all in the public domain and common knowledge for those who want to know. If it was a secret,I wouldn't tell it....would I
Wow!, the average Constable hardly uses a computer! Do you really believe that? Your ignorance is astounding. Oh I wish the average constable hardly used a computer because with no computers, they could be out on the streets, very visible to the public who want to see them. You really are a clown......the average constable, regardless of computer work at their station has a computer in the patrol car and a personal one attached to their PPE (personal protective equipment) which they wear all the time when operational. Their computers dominate their occupational activity!
roxbrough, are you in a time warp or living on an island somewhere? You really are completely out of date and lacking in knowledge.
yep, up for a return to audio, but I've got mine fixed so need to find other stuff to talk about.......you know how it is
