I can't see how it's going to reach a major audience unless Amazon sell it to other channels.

To be pedantic, and with reference to the thread title, Top Gear will remain on the BBC. The Clarkson May Hammond show will be on Amazon, and as I told my son, I ain't gonna pay for Amazon Prime in order to watch it. It we do see it it will be on normal TV channels.
To be truthful the moronic motoring antics of three middle aged blokes has passed its sell by date.

I found Top Gear to be a curate's egg for me.
Some good parts, some daft parts.
No way am I paying anyone for it.
I will probably watch a Chris Evans version out of interest and confirm I don't like him

When all is said and done, Amazon Prime is £79 a year, or about the cost of filling up a family car. Or £1.58 a week, Which is a half pint of beer.
It's a personal choice whether to fork out to see the latest sitcom about three middle aged blokes with an interest in cars, but it is such a footling annual charge it is not something to get twisted out of shape about.

I already have Amazon so will likely watch it to see if it's as good as Top Gear generally was. Not sure how long the reincarnation of Top Gear with Chris Evans will work, whilst I like him on Radi 2, I've never liked him on any of the TV things he's done.

I used to love Top Gear as a child, as soon as it started to be about three men bumbling around like idiots it hey lost me as a viewer, and the fact that it is exported around the worl I always found quite embarrassing
