Met too. Not exactly thrilled by it but I'm using it as a catalyst to make changes to my lifestyle that I should've done ages ago.

My first proper separate system would be in 18 years ago but had plenty of lo fi systems before them I was more into concerts

36 or 37 years for me. Only 29 years of serial box-swapping though Do you like Wheetabix, or Shredded wheat

1987 I bought a technics amp, cd player and kef c40s. I had heard a mates big brothers cd player/amp/speakers and was just hooked. Kept the same cyrus 1/ruark swordsman system for 15 years-then a bit of money freed up!!!
I have really enjoyed my journey to this point helped along with loads of help from forum folk.

If I count modding my parents' Dansette (I built a new amp circuit inside as it was underpowered), and listening to my Dad's records using his metal detector headphones, then it's been about 42 of my 56 years so far.
