I've had it in Rome and it's lovely, but quite variable I found. I'll look out for it over here.

What weather??! We've had an hour and a half of sunshine up here!!
Even that was too much for me - I prefer it cold.

Mate, it's roasting here and the thought of another sleepless night is depressing. No air movement, bedroom thermometer reads 28C, all the windows are open but nothing cool is coming through. Utterly horrible.

The best ice cream I ever tasted was in Rome. Gelato is the best!
Water spray only works when humidity is low. High humidity means no evaporation.

Utterly horrible. Got to get air flow. We have one bedroom window open as always, bathroom window as often. More importantly the dormer windows upstairs so with hot air rising we do quite nicely Think it was 25'c last night and ok with that small draught Got to be worth fitting a dormer window you can open in the loft, open the loft door and bingo
A fan either blowing or sucking from an open window will also do good.

Hey Steve, hope you're enjoying Wimbledon! We should start a thread on it really.

I'm less keen to cycle at 30'c
Minor problem though. I'm at work and that's how I get home
Today 11' at home first thing so fully dressed. Now around 28' so shirt and shorts - and a full bag of clothes to carry home

Only 30* ? Lucky chap. I used to cycle to work when I lived closer.
The hot days were the worst. The Tour de France starts soon, and I think some of the riders are going to suffer.

Utterly horrible. We live in a big(ish) Edwardian house with thick walls and big draughty sash windows. It's a nightmare to keep warm in the winter, but even in very hot weather it stays cool inside, so someone like me who doesn't do well in the heat just needs to come indoors to cool off. I used to hate schlepping to work every day during hot summers, particularly in London, where at 5pm onwards the Southern Region trains were suffocatingly warm inside and usually packed to the gills with sweaty blokes in suits.
