The only forums of importance to me are TAS (hi-fi & music), CRZ Forum (car) and EduGeek (work). I'm getting seriously annoyed with this forum because I can't seem to create new posts! I can quote and reply, but only if, when I reply, I type out my reply, then copy it, create the post (which blanks out my reply, leaving only the quote I'm responding to) then go into 'edit post', and paste my reply in. What a palaver!

Sounds like the machine and/or the browser you're using? Not having any trouble on a variety of machines.
Could you start a new thread in Forum Feedback and we'll try and give you some technical support (if you can)?

Could you start a new thread in Forum Feedback and we'll try and give you some technical support (if you can)? Ironically, I can't start a new thread to explain the problem! I type it all out, hit 'create new thread' and get the message 'you must provide some text' even though I've typed the text in! I'm using Safari on a MacBook Pro, and haven't had this problem on any other forums.

Can you try one thing for me please: switch to BBCode mode (the tab under the full reply window) and see if you can submit a basic message? I think Safari is at fault here.

Ok, I see you're still struggling.
In order to eliminate (or accuse) the browser, could you please install Chrome from the App Store and try TAS from Chrome? We find (at work) many problems with Safari that Chrome frequently fixes, but it's always a good double-check, and always useful to have two browsers installed.

I use Internet Explorer 11, Edge (Spartan), Chrome on all my devices and they all work fine.

That's a strange one - I normally use Firefox with my Mac but am typing this message out using Safari without any problems ...

Have been away for a couple of days, and can now post new topics. I didn't change anything, so the cause of the previous problem remains a mystery shrouded in an enigma var.

As you say, it remains a very odd thing. Good that it all works for you now though.
