I am Juha, a Finn living in the medieval Old Town of Tallinn, Estonia. I have been into hifi since the mid-seventies.
For a long time I had ESS AMT 1B speakers, Quad 405 and a Luxman turntable. I liked that "Sound as Clear as Light" - Dr. Heil tweeter. Later bought a Thorens 160 super with a Micro Seiki arm. I was so much into ESS that I also have the AMT Monitors.
Now I use Genelec modified active Yamaha NS1000 monitors. Pre-amp Audiolabor VV2020. Cd Micromega Drive 1. I am a computer consultant. So many laptops, computers PC and MAC. On computer audio RME cards, Hegel USB. Raspberry 2 / IQaudio DAC.
I love euphoric broad soundscape. Music is mostly jazz. Jazz classics and Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton. Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, etc.

Greetings Juha.
I once owned a pair of speakers manufactured in Finland - Amphion Kryptons!

Yes, Amphion and Genelec are two important speaker companies from Finland. I have Amphion Helium Plus speakers on my tv/video set.

Welcome from me also Juha ...
I see you are a jazz lover - I bought a beautiful Dave Brubeck vinyl compilation recently and absolutely love it, so I'm going to have to investigate this genre a bit further as I've always thought it's not for me previously ... The sound quality from 50 or so years ago is astonishingly good. Puts lots of recent releases to shame!

Howdy and welcome Juha, sure you'll enjoy it here, I can't claim to be into Jazz or possess any kit from your homeland, but, I'm sitting here wearing a Tallinn rugby club jersey, now that is a coincidence.

Thank you for a friendly welcome. I have lived here as expat for 14 years. Living in the medieval Old Town is good.
These are 3 financial reasons to move to Estonia: 1. Company tax 0% 2. Salary tax flat 20% for any income 3. No car tax, road tax

Those are three very good reasons to move to Estonia - the fourth is that Old Tallin is very beautiful! I visited Tallin a few years ago and was really taken with the place.

I am from Helsinki. It is only 75 km over the Gulf of Finland. We have big car ferries and fast ferries from Tallinn to Helsinki. Lots of Finns in Tallinn. I have so much contact with Finland that expat life is ok.
