Actually, it is quite sunny this afternoon . When I created this account (this morning) I received an automated PM asking me to create this thread - so here it is . This is not the only audio forum I am a member of - some I contribute to quite often and some more rarely, but I have the same (or similar) username everywhere.

I see it is the done thing here to list ones system and the kind of music listened to.
I pretty much only listen to vinyl and the records currently in my 'go to' piles are:
Tori Amos - Unrepentant Geraldines The Civil Wars - Live at Eddie's Attic Keaton Henson - Dear Anna Von Hausswolff - Ceremony Snow Ghosts - A Small Murmuration The XX - XX Royal Blood - Royal Blood Peter Hammill - ...All That Might Have Been (this is his most recent release) Portishead - Roseland NYC Live Dead Can Dance - Anastasis Peter Hammill/Gary Lucas - Other World Keaton Henson - Romantic Works Keaton Henson - Birthdays Sharon Van Etten - Are We There Chelsea Wolfe - Unknown Rooms Agnes Obel - Philharmonics The XX - Coexist The Civil Wars - The Civil Wars Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine Suzanne Vega - Tales From The Realm Of The Queen Of Pentacles The Velvet Underground - Max's Kansas City The Velvet Underground and Nico - Andy Warhol The Velvet Underground - Loaded Ray Lamontagne - Till The Sun Turns Black Gomez - Whatever's On Your Mind Daft Punk - Random Access Memories Muse - The Resistance Muse - The 2nd Law Dead Can Dance - In Concert The Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat The Eric Burdon Band - Sun Secrets Natalie Merchant - Motherland Band Of Skulls - Himalayan Ian McCulloch - Holy Ghosts Agnes Obel - Aventine Sarah McLachlan - Shine On Oren Ambarchi - Audience Of One Circle (Ex-Falcon) - Leviatan Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures Dead Can Dance - Into The Labyrinth Laura Marling - Live From York Minster Laura Marling - Once I Was An Eagle The Civil Wars - Unplugged On VH1 Phil Manzanera - 801 Live London Grammar - If You Want Brian Eno - Taking Tiger Mountain Brian Eno - Drums Between The Bells The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground
I buy quite a lot of newly released vinyl and am not so keen on re-releases of classics.

As for my system - it has evolved over many years (over 30) to the point where it is now; but I'm not one for box swapping or selling the lot on a whim. As I mentioned earlier, I'm very vinyl centric and the main system only has a record deck as a source in it.
Most of the system is modified or entirely custom which makes describing it difficult.
Turntable is custom with lightly modified Naim Aro and heavily rebuilt Troika. Phonostage is custom built Paradise. Pre-amp is modified Naim with modified Naim PS. Power amps are Naim 135s and Lab.gruppen IPD 1200. The speakers are extensively rebuilt Yamaha NS-1000Ms - passively driven in the mid and treble, active in the bass. Stands are custom built. Cables are a mix of Epiphany Acoustics, Witch Hat Audio, Flashback, Linn and Van Damme. The system has its own mains ring and room to live in - there is also some passive room treatment at points of first reflection etc.

I'm in sunny York now - well, it's not exactly sunny but it is quite pleasant.

It's a bit 'singular' in places - some popular, some obscure and some 'acquired taste' .

I think most people music lovers have record collections like that.

Yep, I expect so.
I've recently bought the new Laura Marling record and am really enjoying that.
