I recently noticed that my carbon fibre brush was depositing fibres onto my vinyl, rather than getting them off, so decided it was time for a new one.
I looked on ebay and saw that most of them looked suspiciously similar. On closer look they appeared to be the same brush, but with different branding and prices. So I bought just about the cheapest one for £6. Got it home and found out that it is exactly the same brush as my old “Blue Horizon Probrush” that I originally paid £20 for!! So basically I paid £14 extra for some slightly slicker branding. Great. Looking at the bottom of the brush, I found the same manufacturing mark to confirm it is the same brush.
Definitely a lesson learnt.

Appearances. Wait until this one needs replacing is it still amazing at £6?

several brushes on the market with replaceable pads & they last as long as triggers broom
dry brushes really just spread the dirt around the surface or worse push it into the groove or the fibres fall off try a Wet brush with some cleaning fluid , a clean LP is a happy LP good quality brush will last years

I have a MoFi brush but I only use that for wet cleaning with the RCM. I like to have a carbon fibre brush handy just for any very light surface dust on an lp that is already essentially clean...

I don't use those Carbon fibre brushes. Use the same Watts Parostatik disc Preener for over 30 years.

I went mad and got a Furutech brush
Felt like I'd conned myself, then I tested it first on myself, then on the boss
Makes a nice difference !
