Here is a review of the Bagail Digital Coffee Scales available on Amazon for around £14.
Background
I was going to buy the £45 Timemore scales when I noticed this product with very similar features at a much more appealing price.
Here are my findings thus far.
Pros
- measures to 0.1g precision. This is great when you are looking for consistency and the ability to fine tune the taste by increasing or lowering the coffee dose - built in timer than can be started manually or automatically when you start pouring your water over the coffee in Aeropress or V60 etc This is excellent - tare function working well so far - USB charging. I like the lack of traditional batteries. Let's see how long a full charge lasts - removable rubber cover
Cons
- weight can fluctuate after measuring by .1or .2g - the timer stops when I take my Aeropress off the scales to swirl whilst brewing and I have to start it again, this is annoying - I would have preferred buttons you can actually feel as opposed to built into the display
Conclusion
Whilst not perfect let's not forget this is only £14 and at that price I am more than happy to live with its little quirks. An excellent VFM proposition.

Not exactly Espresso, but it'll have to do I suppose... There are varying reports, from " !'m now a fan," to " It was like a punch in the mouth," but what sold me was two friends on Farcebook, both of whom are Guinness drinkers, and who both agreed it was a " nice drop". Bearing in mind Guinness has notes of Coffee and Cacao anyway, I have high hopes. If only there was a non-alcoholic version. Oh well, I'll just have to suffer.

I'm in France and remember that you just cannot get a long coffee here. Ask for an Americano and you get a double espresso!

The Guinness Cold-Brew Coffee Beer is rather nice. There's a really strong hit of coffee on opening the can, which lasts for quite a while, until you get used to it I suppose. Likewise the flavour of the beer itself. Being Guinness, the whole thing is quite bitter, which may put some coffee fans off. Someone compared it to coffee made with old grounds, left in the pot too long, but I wouldn't say it's anything near as bad as that.
If you like coffee, and you like Guinness, it's probably worth the experiment. However, if you're too "precious" about your coffee, and don't like anything "coffee-flavoured" it's probably not.

I came off caffeinated coffee last Monday. Was down to 1 shot only in the morning. Had been so for months. You'd think no issues.. Had a headache for 4 days - I kid you not. We are all different of course. I'd heard my daughter listening to this podcast.. open.spotify.com/episode/6F3dV8BzpJyHR61hDnrdxS?si=qZggeBP7SYqGij1g-jJ2jA55mins 28secs in Tells a lot. The whole podcast about sleep is very interesting. Apart from the Airbnb ad😂 My saving grace Roast myself, it's the best tasting decaff I've found, so far..

I'll try the decaf coffee sachets for our machines at work and see how it tastes.
I'm drinking far too much coffee at work, which is strangely tied to the prevailing levels of stress.

2 (14g/330ml) cups a day maximum for me and pretty much always before midday, try not to drink coffee after that.
Never say never, but Guinness cold brew coffee looks all wrong, so I'll pass!

I can get caffeine withdrawal headaches if I go without, so I know how potent a drug it is!

Never had that problem yet myself, maybe my intake isn't great enough? I do know if I drink coffee later in the day it does affect the quality of my sleep though, same with alcohol.
I can go without coffee without it seemingly having an impact, but never really tested that theory. I can't say it wakes me up or 'gives me a boost' either, like others say it does I just enjoy the flavour.

One cup per day for me, with my lunch. At any other time, it's green/herbal tea with honey or hot chocolate, since I discovered the Options Vegan Belgian Hot Chocolate, which has a reasonably low sugar content.

Nope - the decaf sachets are not going to do it for me. Didn't think they would. Are they for an Espresso machine? The Cafe Nero decaf is not too bad. Our local town posh Garden Centre Stewarts, is not bad either. After that it goes down hill, but do does the regular coffee.. Decaf is a challenge, best and quite acceptable is the home roast I do. I wonder what it's like ready roasted and even ready ground?

They're Lavazza brand machines. I like the Crema E Gusto sachets even more than Espresso for flavour.

I know, they are expensive and you get less too. I have two anyway of the very original ones and one is still in superb condition, so for now I'll pass.
