Stage 1 of the coffee making upgrade is complete. A Mazzer Mini Electronic Model A is making it's way towards me. It should be here on Monday.
As I am frequently told, the secret to a good coffee is the grind. Mazzer make some well respected grinders, and the Mini should be perfect for home use.
My new coffee machine will be ordered at the end of November.

I have a problem with coffee & its revolting smell. What is it in this world when you cannot get away from smokers & coffee drinkers revolting smell?

I've just returned from five nights in the Corinthia Royal Grand Hotel, Budapest.
Our room had a Nespresso machine in it and I got into the habit of having a couple of cups a day (never used one before).
There were three types of capsule. A strong silver one, a green one and a brown decaff.
I tried and liked the green one best. The decaff one wasn't too bad either!
I appreciate that this machine won't cut it for the coffee aficionado's amongst you, but it was convenient and FREE!
I have a DeLonghi Perfecta at home which I bought four years ago. I generally use Waitrose medium roast Colombian coffee beans for an everyday cup.
